Leading Edge Solar Research

The members of Optony Research Group have been performing break-through research and development on solar technology over the past decade. These efforts have directly led to major advancements in performance for PV cells using multiple materials and processes.

The Optony research team has been involved in over 20 patent filings and continues to drive world-leading solar innovation at the cell, module and system levels. Currently, the team works closely with the US National Renewable Energy Labs in Golden, Colorado to develop cutting-edge technologies that move the industry forward by combining both low-cost manufacturing with high-efficiency output.

We are also collaborating with research institutes and commercial organizations world-wide to move the solar industry forward. In addition to solar technologies, the Optony Research Team also investigates solar energy topics related to government policies, economics and in-depth market analysis. These studies not only provide valuable insights to Optony’s clients, but also help guide the company’s product, service and business strategy development.
