Optony Invited to Speak at California Nigeria Forum Event Featuring Guest of Honor Governor Malam Ibrahim Shekarau of Kano State, Nigeria

Optony has been invited to participate in a special event hosted by the California Nigeria Forum for the Kano State Governor of Nigeria, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau. The governor is leading a government delegation to the U.S. to build support for the Country’s first Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Park. During his five-day visit, he will be meeting with high-tech leaders, Google, Cisco, Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard and Oracle to drive international collaboration and investment.

The Kano State Government is hoping to replicate the success of ICT parks, which have been recognized for driving job growth in developing economies such as China and India. Power and clean technologies will be important components in establishing a competitive ICT Park in Nigeria. Optony will be discussing the role of solar power in helping to provide a sound infrastructure for the ICT Park’s future business community and acting as a catalyst for sustainable job growth in the region.
